If I am being honest, I haven’t done much physical yoga this summer. I have been traveling a lot and have fallen out of routine and then convince myself I have fallen out of love with it. I have always referred to yoga as a homecoming. Because when I take breaks and come back, it feels like a tremendous moment of walking through the door of your warm and welcoming home. The body sighs in great relief. A resounding, “I belong here.” Do you know this moment? When you are like, “why don’t I do this more often?!”
This is why I wanted to kick off my Summer Series with a yoga class. It’s for both of us :) To walk our tight, sore, summer bodies back home. Yoga is a remembering. It is not a pursuit of gains or goal oriented feats. It is the peeling back of the layers. It is a removal of emotional residue, mental fog and physical tenseness. It is a practice to recall your wholeness. Doesn’t that sound good?! Good enough to get you on your mat this Friday morning?
I am so looking forward to embarking on this 4 week journey of 4 practices that have literally saved my life.
Week One- A Yoga Class. A true homecoming. Sweat, move, breathe and challenge the body, mind and spirit for the ultimate feeling of, “damn, that felt good!”
Week Two- A New Moon Ceremony. If you are feeling stuck or in a funk, it means it’s time to set fresh intentions. The new moon is upon us, ushering in fresh energy to work with. New moons are all about hitting the reset button!
Week Three- A Transformational Breathwork Session. Have you heard of this style of breathwork? It is a simple three part breath that quiets down the ego and thinking mind and turns up the volume of our intuition. It unearths stagnant energy, helps us process unresolved emotions and leaves us feeling clear.
Week Four- LOVE>FEAR, a Debut Workshop. Are you letting fear run your life? Do you wake up with anxiety and fear everything that could go wrong with life, work, relationship etc? This workshop contains valuable and practical tools to get you out of fear based thinking and into the mindset of love. Learn how to train your mind and see the world differently. This work is SO.POTENT.
All of this for only $111 Canadian, which is like 84 bucks American. And the best part? ALL PROCEEDS, every single cent, goes to teen girls accessing the Girlvana Yoga Retreat this summer. Yup, a handful of teens get to go to camp for free all because you and a bunch of other cool people chose to get on their yoga mats this Friday.
